Woodland Pork

from $250.00
Sold Out

All of our stock is bred on the farm from our own sows. In the spring time they are on the pasture to allow them full sun and fresh grass to enjoy. As soon as things start to heat up a little they go into the woodland pens to keep cool and to forage on leaves, roots, fungi and nuts. Hog heaven!

They are also fed a locally sourced, Non GMO and No Corn ration that includes all of the minerals they need to keep them in tip top shape. We include Apple Cider Vinegar into our water troughs as an old fashioned and still very effective parasite treatment and mineral supplement. I wonder if it helps with our livestock’s cholesterol like it does ours?

Happy pigs indeed!

This years harvest date is November 9th. I take the pigs in and collect them for your after butchering for a hassle free experience. Collect from the Farm.

Both full and half pigs are ready in November each year. They are processed and packaged by our local Mennonite butcher, Osage Custom Meats, and will be frozen. These need to booked in advance and a (non refundable) 50% deposit is required as numbers are very limited. We will ask you a few days before harvesting how you would like your meat cut to ensure that you get just what you wanted. If you need help with this just let us know, we are always happy to talk you through the process. Curing is also offered if you’d like Hams, Bacon, etc. although there is an additional charge for this process as it takes longer and has additional ingredients.

Ham: $1.50 per lb

Bacon: $3 per lb

Cutlets: $2 per lb

Diced Stew Meat: $2 per lb

Ground pork packages have no extra cost.

Piglets aka. Bacon Seeds!

We do sell these delightful little beasts so that you can grow your own herd. Pricing varies according to age so please use the form behind the Contact button found at the top of the page.
